As an animal herder, you have spent your life tending to and caring for a variety of creatures. Whether you roam the vast plains with a herd of cattle, shepherd flocks of sheep through rolling hills, or guide a menagerie of exotic beasts, your connection with animals is unparalleled. Your journey as an Animal Herder is driven by a deep bond with the natural world and a profound understanding of the creatures under your care.
NOTE: Some backgrounds have options to choose from. Please read carefully. You may not get every proficiency listed below, as some may be a choice between one or the other.
- Stat Options (choose either +2 in one stat and +1 in another, OR +1 in all three): Constitution, Strength, Wisdom
- Skill Proficiencies (your choice of TWO): Animal Handling, Nature, or Survival
- Tool Proficiencies: Herbalism Kit (One Musical Instrument of choice if you select the Weapon proficiency instead.)
- Languages: Two Standard and one Exotic language of choice.
- Weapons: Quarterstaff (instead of Herbalism Kit)
- Background Keepsake: A well-worn shepherd's crook - A sturdy wooden staff with a curved end, used for guiding and directing animals with ease.
- Background Gold: 5gp.
