Welcome to Sword Coast Adventure Realm!

Sword Coast Adventure Realm is an open world setting with adventures, settings and story arcs happening all at the same time in a tightly-knit community of over 20 consistent players and 6 experienced Dungeon Masters. We are a variation of a West Marches server, combining the elements of a sandbox world with story-driven elements. Our server is an ever-evolving place, which is constantly being improved with a variety of updates to rules, lore, mechanics and much more, always ensuring that the games are a fun and fair experience for everybody. The server now celebrates its 3rd anniversary, many players being veterans and our DMs are always striving to put out the best content. We use Roll20 for game sessions and Chronica for tracking the rest, with a large and organized Discord server for 24/7 chat, Roleplay, and community.


About Our Style

An open sandbox world to make your mark and tell your story

There is no regular set play time.
Every session is scheduled by the DMs on our quests channel in Discord. Quests are posted and available for anyone to sign up via a system that prioritizes players based on last day played and character role.
There is no regular party.
Each play session has the potential to have different characters, drawn from the pool of available players. You will play with other characters within your level tier.
There is no regular plot, but many stories and arcs happening at once.
The players decide where to go and what to do. It is a sandbox game in the sense that there is no overarching linear plot but instead an overarching environment. That being said, the DMs each have story arcs running that may interconnect and provide more content and objectives.
Every game session begins and ends at the same point of origin.
Just about every session is entirely self contained. You depart from one of our resident towns, accomplish a task, and return. This allows you to really settle in, establish a home, and make your story.
It's a living world.
As all PCs are assumed to spend their downtime in the same area, word generally gets round about what happens on each adventure. It's a living world. The same evil wizard cannot be killed by two different groups.
